The purpose of the Billy the Kid Outlaw Gang is to Preserve, Promote, and Protect Billy the Kid/Pat Garrett history in New Mexico. Thanks to our website we can now share this fascinating history with folks all around the world. This page will feature many gravesites of those who were somehow involved in the life of Billy the Kid and many of those involved in the Lincoln County War. It is like walking through an online cemetery where all of these old west legends are buried.


Billy's mother Catherine McCarty's grave located in Silver City, New Mexico.



Gravesites of Sheriff William Brady and his Deputy George Hindman.
They were ambushed by the Regulators on April 1st 1878 on the streets of Lincoln.



Gravesite of "Doc" Scurlock
Josiah "Doc" Scurlock a good friend to Billy moved on from his past life and refused
to ever talk about it. He died on July 25th , 1929 in Eastland, Texas.



Gravesites of Richard Brewer Capitan of the Regultators and "Buckshot"
Roberts. They were both killed at the battle at Blazer's Mill on April 4, 1878.



This is the unmarked grave of Deputy James Carlyle located near Corona, New Mexico
on private property. James Carlyle was shot during the siege at the Greathouse Station
and Tavern on November 27, 1880. Billy was blamed for the killing, but evidence suggests that
Carlyle was most likely shot by his own posse members by mistake.



Deputy James Bell's grave located in the Cedarvale Cemetery in White Oaks,
New Mexico. Bell was killed by Billy the Kid on April 28, 1881
during his escape from the Lincoln County courthouse.

Cedarvale Cemetery in White Oaks, New Mexico.



Billy the Kid's real grave in Fort Sumner, New Mexico. Billy was buried here beside his two Pals
Tom O'Folliard and Charlie Bowdre after he was shot down in Pete Maxwell's darkened bedroom by Sheriff Pat Garrett
on July 14, 1881. The Kid's grave is the one on the far right.



Jesus Silva's gravesite in Ft. Sumner New Mexico.
Silva is one of the men who buried Billy the Kid.



John Henry Tunstall and Alex McSween are buried together behind
the Tunstall store in Lincoln New Mexico. There is speculation that the markers
and the gravesites may be displaced. Some believe that the graves are actually
to the right of this photo on the lot next to the Tunstall store.



Pete Maxwell's grave at Fort Sumner, NM.
It was in his bedroom that Pat Garrett shot and killed Billy the Kid.
He was also the brother to Billy's sweetheart Paulita Maxwell.




Yginio Salazars' Grave in Lincoln Cemetery in Lincoln, NM.
